Patch

 

Worked on a national level to maintain and grow the audience of Patch's network of 905 hyperlocal websites:

 

  • Created a national content plan for Patch that included a redesign of the Patch.com homepage. Traffic to the homepage increased to 500,000 page views a month.

  • Planned traffic reciruculation strategies for Patch.com, boosting traffic and engagement.

  • Used social media to distribute content and build a core audience of dedicated followers

  • Used SEO best practices, social media, and metrics anaylsis to improve traffic, drive engagement and build a dedicated core audience across the Chicago area

  • Programmed enewsletters that had an open rate of 40 percent and click through rate above 20 percent

  • As a field level supervisor, oversaw the improvement of under performing sites in one instance boosting traffic in less than a year from an average of 15,000 unique visitors to more than 40,000

  • As a manager of 20 sites grew total audience to more than 800,000 UVs while also increasing key engagement metrics

  • Led community outreach efforts and blogger recruitment for Palatine Patch which became the UGC model for Patch.com
